Use Chat with AI to revise selected text
Select text in a document and send it to the side chat as a reference, then ask Sparkclass for a targeted revision.
Select the passage you want to discuss
Use this workflow when only one instruction, question, or paragraph needs attention. It gives the conversation a precise reference without requiring you to copy and paste a whole document.
- Open a document and select the text.
- Choose Chat with AI on the floating formatting toolbar.
- The side chat opens with a Selected text reference card.
Tell AI what should change
Adding a reference does not send a request. Write your instruction in the chat input, then send it. You can remove the reference with the card’s close button if you selected the wrong passage.
Rewrite this instruction for Grade 3 students. Use one short sentence, keep the mathematical meaning, and do not change the numbers.
Review the response and document
The selected text is context for the request. Explain whether you want an explanation, suggested wording, or an edit to the document. Check the response and any document changes before moving on.
If the change affects a question, verify that its answer and any related directions still agree.
Reference more context when necessary
Use the attachment menu to reference the current document when the request depends on the surrounding material. That menu offers the current-document action only when a document is open. The reference card can be removed before sending.
